Professor (Dr.) Tony Ayoola
ADESA President & Chairman
Dr. Tony Ayoola is an experienced consultant and educator, with degrees from Oxford and London Universities (BA, MA, MSc and PhD degrees). He has engaged in management consultancy for over 30 years, and has worked in the United Kingdom, United States, Netherlands, Africa and the Middle East. His current areas of interest include Oil & Gas energy-sector management, corporate governance & compliance, risk management, data engineering, business analytics and informatics. He has published books and several papers in these areas.
Ms. Maureen Mutua
Vice President – Strategic Partnerships, Growth and Expansion
Maureen Mutua is a highly qualified compliance subject matter expert. She has over 7 years experience in the compliance industry with an interest in data governance and information security risk management.
She has delivered and moderated compliance training in the Middle East and Africa. Her technical skills have helped to execute both investigative, data collection, and substantive follow-up analysis in Money Laundering and Client Due Diligence. Her experience and understanding of regulatory requirements, allows her to train and provide advisory services to institutions and organizations, enabling them to better adhere to regulatory laws and supervisory requirements. Maureen is a published author in the African compliance sector and has published several articles.
Mr. Steve Mambo
Vice Chairman & Vice President – Research and Publications
Steve is a cyber security specialist with over 12 years’ experience in Kenya and beyond. His career started in the corporate sector where he managed IT Security docket for a multinational (LafargeHolcim) East Africa Business Unit for 7 years before moving into consulting and co-founding 2 successful cyber security companies (Villbo Group & Yelbridges Ltd). He is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Yelbridges Ltd with operations in Kenya & Mauritius.
Steve is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and holds an MBA -Strategic Management & Bsc. Information Systems and Technology from USIU-Africa. Steve has authored several articles on Cyber Insurance that have been published on CyberScape Africa among other publications.
Mr. Michael Felix
Vice President – Learning and Innovation
Michael Felix is an experienced Cyber Security practitioner and a Cyber Forensics Investigator with industrial exposure. He holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Technology from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. Felix is a certified Cyber Forensics Investigator and a “Train the trainer” in Cyber Security Defense. In his quest to spread the word across Africa about Cyber Security, Felix co-founded an organization named CyberSpeak LC where professionals interact and discuss topical Cyber Security and Digital Forensics issues. Felix is a speaker on matters pertaining to Cyber Security and has been been a presenter at conferences such as the Africa Tech Summit 2019 in Kigali, Rwanda and Legal Tech Summit Uganda.
Mr. Chimwemwe Shaba
Vice President – Public Relations, Marketing and Events
Chimwemwe has a background in Education, taxation and Information Technology. He is a holder of a Bachelor of Science in Computing, a 2019 YALI Graduate in Business and Entrepreneurship; and as of 2019, was working towards an Associate Android Developers (AAD) Certification under the Google Africa Certification Scholarship. He is passionate about organizing and facilitating Events and appreciates the role that technology (social media and social media marketing in particular), plays, in enabling organizations to reach and engage with a wider audience.
